April is right around the corner, and you know the saying! If you have a move scheduled during a rainy spring day don’t sweat it…our crew is prepared to move in practically any weather situation.
For example, items moved in the rain are more likely to be covered in plastic to protect them from the elements. Our crew leaders are sure to bring enough material and use their expertise to provide this protection on the items that need it. Additionally, our crew leaders have developed timing skills with years of experience moving in the rain – like choosing periods of time when the rain stops or is light where they can move items without water damaging them. This opportunistic approach allows time for packing during heavy rain showers that may damage items when exposed to the elements on their journey between the house and truck.
What about my floors?
There is no need to worry about water and mud getting tracked through your home. We are sure to protect floors on every move – rain or shine. Our red carpet runners will keep your floors clean and dry!
Are there weather situations that would cause you to cancel and reschedule our move date?
There are rare situations where the weather will deem it too dangerous or damaging to move. These include, but are not limited to, tornado watches or warnings, severe thunderstorms, and uncharacteristically heavy rain pours. If your move is scheduled for a day that we cannot safely move you, we will contact you to let you know that rescheduling is necessary. We will work with you to get you back on the schedule as soon as possible and on a day that works well for you.
Don’t worry – we have an eye on the weather and will make the call. A good rule of thumb is to plan on your move day unless you are contacted by us to reschedule. We only cancel when completely necessary as we understand the challenge that it can cause our customers when moving deadlines are tight.
We look forward to moving our spring customers! Thank you for choosing us!
