Although considered an essential business, Mulder’s Moving and Storage closed our doors in accordance with Governor Whitmer’s stay at home order. We chose to do this to be a part of the solution, keeping our employees and our customers safe and helping to slow the spread of COVID-19. We appreciate our customers who have stuck with us through this time, pushing back their move dates to allow for this closure.
With the expiration of the original order, although continued until April 30th, we have decided to continue our business in order to take care of our customers. We understand that there is only so much room for flexibility when it comes to your move date, and we appreciate the grace that you have allowed for us to temporarily close our doors.
We are now back open for business, but we are operating a bit differently. We have implemented rigid cleaning protocols for our trucks, tools and equipment. We will be screening our employees before they start each work day. We will be touching base with customers before their move to be sure that they are healthy. Our employees have authority to leave a job that they feel unsafe or that their health is in danger. Our customers have the option to continue pushing back their move date until they are comfortable with the circumstances.
We hope that with these efforts, we can continue to serve our community while keeping everyone safe. We appreciate your patience and cooperation, and as always, we are forever grateful for your support.
